Cyber Security competition.
Britons who can defeat the nation’s networks using only a keyboard are being sought in a national competition. This competition is in its second year and aims to uncover cyber heroes who can track down criminals and defend the UK’s network. From June 1st anyone interested in entering can register via the website. The challenges will test the skills established by what computer security experts call on their day-to-day work. Each stream will have up to three competitions and the winners of these will go through to an elimination round. Those that triumph in the eliminators will compete for the chance to be grand champion.
Dan Summers, a postman from Wakefield, was the winner of the first UK Cyber Security Challenge and took home prizes worth £6,000.
